Toyota Spruces Up Your Smartphone

At Toyota Of Wallingford, we do our best to keep up with the ever-changing world of mobile technology. It seems like every day there's a new Android Smartphone or iPhone rumor that everyone's excited for, and it can all honestly seem a bit overwhelming at times. That's why we're glad to see Toyota embrace  the mobile platform in a way that's level headed and easy to understand.

Case in point: Toyota recently released a new app for iOS and Android, and it makes shopping for a new car a breeze. The aptly-named Toyota Shopping Tool is available to download for free, and it lets you browse a wide range of new Toyota models with ease. What's more, you can even learn more about a vehicle on the fly with a VIN (vehicle identification number) scanner.

The Toyota Shopping Tool is certainly an informative app, but it's not the only one that the company has put out. If you're looking to have a little fun on your phone, why not try out the game Thrill City? This exciting game uses Google Maps to create routes to race a virtual Toyota 86 sports car on.

Need something to keep younger kids occupied on long trips? Backseat Driver is a similar game that uses the phone's GPS to follow along with you actual car's trip. The player controls a car that follows along for the ride.

While these Smartphone apps are great, we're still sure that the best way to enjoy any Toyota is still from behind the wheel. That said, if there's one you're interested in, be sure to contact us today. We're located conveniently at 859 North Colony Rd. Wallingford, CT 06492, and we're ready to answer any questions that you may have from ownership to keeping your car running like new with the help of our Toyota service department.
