It's time for the 2010 Toyota Rav4 to be unveiled to car buyers at Toyota of Wallingford in the greater Hartford area.

Toyota's updated Rav4 features a redesigned front and rear end, including LED lights and new streamline grill. Fans of Rav4 will be elated to see new interior upgrades in technology, including a DVD entertainment system, surround sound speakers and HDD navigation system.

As far as engine options the new RAV4 has a 2.0-liter Valvematic engine producing 156 horse power producing 6,200 RPM and 146 lb-ft of torque at 4,400 RPM. Its 2WD version does 0 - 60 in 10.2 seconds while the 4WD achieves the same speed in 10.5 seconds. The 2.2D 150 is also available in 2WD or 4WD. Its maximum power output is around 150 PS with a torque of 251 lb-ft between 2,000 RPM and 2,800 RPM.

A 2.2D 180 version of the same engine is good for 295 lb-ft of torque. Toyota says that model can hit 0 - 60 MPH in 9.3 seconds and top off at 124 MPH. Available transmissions are a 6-speed manual or the Multi-drive S which is Toyota's take on the Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) system.
