This engine, combined with a sequential multi-point EFI with Electronic Throttle Control System with intelligence creates 98 horsepower at 5200 rpm and 105 lb.-ft. of torque at 4000 rpm. When combining the hybrid system's net power, this achieves 134 horsepower.

With this hybrid technology, the 2011 Toyota Prius has been rated as an Advanced Technology Partial Zero Emission Vehicle (AT-PZEV).
